The district unit planning zone and district unit plan of Ongjin-gun,
Incheon Metropolitan City have been decided and the topographic map has been approved by the court.

Sunset Bay Resort Town, which will be the first large-scale tourism and leisure complex in Ongjin County, will be built on a total area of 43,430 pyeong and will consist of tourism and leisure facilities, residential facilities, and mixed-use facilities, establishing itself as the largest tourist attraction on the west coast of the metropolitan area.
Top K-culture contents will be introduced in the resort town, making it Korea’s best tourism hub for true Korean experience.
Shido Sunset Bay Resort Town project is scheduled to begin civil engineering works in March 2026
and is scheduled for completion in May 2029.

When the Shindo Bridge (Yeongjongdo-Shindo section) is completed in June 2026,
the number of tourists traveling to the three islands is expected to increase explosively.
